Project Graduation Initiative
Where senior celebration meets safety, equity, and transparency.
Every senior deserves a safe, inclusive, transparent, and meaningful graduation experience.
This initiative ensures they get one.
Mission:
Project Graduation Governance & Oversight Alignment
In alignment with this mission, Guardians for Transparency Through Truth, Education, and Reform (GTTER) supports Project Graduation and senior-year activities as a student-focused, safety-centered, and inclusive community initiative. Our involvement in Project Graduation is limited to ensuring that graduation celebrations are lawfully organized, financially transparent, student-inclusive, and free from discrimination or exclusion, while prioritizing student safety, family engagement, and equitable access for all graduating seniors.
Consistent with our nonprofit purpose, GTTER’s role in Project Graduation emphasizes:
Safe, substance-free celebrations that protect students during graduation milestones
Transparent fundraising and financial accountability, ensuring funds raised for seniors are used solely for student benefit
Inclusive participation, including students with disabilities and those who may otherwise be marginalized
Collaborative coordination with school administration, parents, volunteers, and community partners
Compliance with district policies, nonprofit standards, and applicable laws, without disruption to instructional or administrative operations
GTTER’s Project Graduation involvement is non-political, non-adversarial, and student-centered, and is designed to support schools—not oversee or replace them—by reducing liability, strengthening community trust, and ensuring that every graduating student has access to a safe and celebratory experience.
GTTER does not engage in investigative, enforcement, or advocacy activities within the scope of Project Graduation itself. All Project Graduation support is provided in coordination with campus administration and in recognition of the school district’s authority over school operations, student eligibility, and campus decision-making.
This work reflects GTTER’s broader commitment to ethical stewardship, student protection, and community confidence, and is fully consistent with our mission to empower families, safeguard students, and promote integrity within educational systems.
Why This Alignment Supports School Approval
Uses risk-reduction language (safety, compliance, transparency, liability reduction)
Explicitly states a non-adversarial, non-political role
Clearly frames GTTER as a support structure, not enforcement or oversight
Aligns with standard Project Graduation goals commonly approved by school districts
Protects against claims that GTTER’s broader civil rights mission conflicts with Project Graduation activities
